“Cecily” is a lovely 8 year old bay mare, retiring from the track after 27 starts. She is a kind mare with some wear and tear on her body from her racing days. We are working on rehabilitating her hooves and getting her comfortable enough to be a companion horse.
Congratulations to Maya on adopting Cassidy!
“Cassidy” is a tall, dark and handsome 2017 gelding who retired sound after 26 starts. He arrive in May 2024 and is taking some time to let down and rehab his thin-soled hooves before he begins training.

COMPANION HORSE
Moon Pie is a 2021 filly who retired from racing after 3 starts. Due to a racing injury, she is not sound for riding. But she is a playful girl who enjoys being turned out with both mares and geldings and would be a fun addition to any herd.
Gertrude’s comfortability deteriorated and we helped her pass peacefully, surrounded by horses and humans who loved her.
“Gertrude” was an impressive Kentucky-bred 2019 liver chestnut mare, retiring after 15 starts and 5 wins. She even won her last race in which she sustained a sesamoid fracture! This beauty was a beast!
Gerty healed her fracture, but unfortunately was been diagnosed with DSLD (degenerative suspensory ligament disease). She was turned out to a larger paddock where she could socialize with other horses. We

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALEX AND KURT ON ADOPTIING SEBASTIAN!
“Sebastian” is a 2020 gelding who was too slow for a racing career, but has let down and is ready for his next chapter. He has been lightly restarted under saddle and has been gentle and uncomplicated. He has a great brain and personality - very sweet and intelligent. He will make someone a wonderful equine partner!
Congratulations to Raese on adopting Ichabod!
“Ichabod” retired after 27 starts, 11 firsts and over $219k career earnings. After he retired from racing, he was put out to pasture for 5 years before he came to us. His owner had died and he had nowhere to go in his condition - with an old knee fracture and overgrown, split hooves, he had clearly been neglected. Ichabod’s former racing trainer found out about his old horse and kindly sponsored his intake costs.
Ichabod is doing so much better as his hooves are being rehabbed and his dental issues are being tended. His knee is partially fused, but he is looking more sound and comfortable all the time. This special horse deserves a happy ending and we hope he finds his perfect person once he is well enough to move along.

Congratulations Delvin on your new horse!
“Perrier” is a lovely 3 year old gelding who retired from racing after 7 starts, because he was no longer winning. He is a tall glass of water and a graceful sporthorse prospect. He is UTD on vaccinations, deworming, and farrier care and ready to meet his new partner!
Congratulations Michele on adopting Parker (JC: Barke)!
“Hans” is a 2019 unraced gelding. He was previously adopted and returned due to no fault of his own. Though he has had some time off, he was previously under saddle doing walk/trot/canter and some trails. He is very large at 17+ hands and quite athletic. He just needs some time and attention to bring him along again!
Hans is UTD on vaccinations, deworming, and farrier care (in front shoes). He is ready to find his person!
Congratulations, Jenna, on adopting Classy Money!
Cash’s initial intake costs were generously sponsored by Emily Ghiurcan’s fundraiser event - Mickey’s Picnic.
