Adoption Requirements
There are several steps in our adoption process all of which are designed to ensure the best possible match between horses and adopters. Horsemanship skills, level of training, inherent personality and the ability to care for and continue the development of the adopted horse, are all considered.
Review Requirements and contract
Our top priority is to ensure that the horse is a good fit for you & you are a good fit for that horse.
We do not typically adopt outside of New Mexico or outside of a four hour drive radius.
We may wish to visit the horses future facility, alternatively, we may request photos or videos.
After adoption, rehoming, breeding, and other restrictions, do apply.

An application is required to schedule a meet and greet.

Schedule visit(s)
Once we’ve received and reviewed your application, we’d be happy to schedule an initial visit. After that, we do require at least one additional visit, where we will be able to observe you working with the horse on the ground and under saddle.
If we think that you and the horse of interest will be a good fit, we will approve your adoption. The last steps are to sign the adoption contract, pay the fee and schedule pickup!
